The Source of our being

Writer: John ValloneJohn Vallone

As we come to open up our thought to a greater acknowledgment and acceptance of theDivinity that resides within us, we find ourselves on the pathway to achieving the purpose for which we were created: to express the nature of the Divine, the Source of our being.

Ernest Holmes, from the book, 365 Science of Mind, March 4, pg 71

Now if you would have read that to me before I got sober and found a Higher Power through AA, I would have said something silly like, ok, I listened to you like you asked, now can I have another drink!!!

Spirituallity is a funny thing, compared to dogma religions, and i have nothing against any belief system as long as it isn't making people suffer. Spirituallity keeps growing, it never stops teaching, it is infinite as I believe my Higher Power is, where as in some beliefs systems theres one book and thats it, the thinking stops, the growth is stifled, prevented from growing.

Sobriety and the 12 steps of AA (or any 12 step program) taught me and teaches us, how to expand our thoughts and seek more and grow and mature and look for that next seed of literature written, mostly by the ancients, and explore more than what I thought i knew yesterday to find there's more to that today...

I am a work in progress and know that i will be till i transition from this body and from this planet. Even the saying from the enlighten one goes something like this:

Asked now that you are enlightened what can you tell us what is it that you do?

The Sage answers, before I became enlightened i carried water and chopped wood, and now I carry water and chop wood!!! lol...

And what i gather from that is and prove that is, our journey is all a internal job and it only changes us, however we see and we feel and we know ourselves and the world from a whole new point of view that is simply lighter, simpler, peaceful, freer...

Am i saying i am, no, but i do know i am closer to those things now than i have ever been, keep coming back is what we say to new comers in AA, in NA they say stay, I like that, your already here, now stay!!!

And when i was a new comer to AA they said over n over, keep coming back, and I did, and now this month is 20 yrs of sobriety, ty, Namaste'...
